Hammers.. Nails.. Oh My

  • Habitat for Humanity of Madison County 400 Pratt Avenue Northwest Huntsville, AL, 35801 United States

HYP will be helping Habitat for Humanity finish up one of their renovations. This could include installation of cabinets, blinds, painting, some detail work, and maybe a demolition clean up.

Habitat follows a motto: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion.

They don’t encourage the use of personal tools but if volunteers would like to bring them they can. Please make sure they are labeled. And, please no tools that have been “modified”. No nail guns. Everyone should wear sturdy shoes—tennis shoes are fine but no flip flops or sandals. If volunteers have their own work/garden gloves we encourage them to bring them.
