Get a little dirty on April 16th as we help clean up and clear out a local trail preserved by Land Trust of North Alabama.
Trail Care Day will be at the Blevins Gap Preserve off Cecil Ashburn Drive. We'll be doing a variety of trail activities from repairs to cut backs.
All necessary tools will be supplied, but please bring heavy work gloves! Wear long pants and sturdy shoes. We also suggest applying sunblock prior to arriving. Bringing bug spray and extra sunblock is a good idea, too. This is hard work, so please stay hydrated!
TIME: Saturday, April 16 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
DIRECTIONS: To get to the Blevins Gap Trailhead take Airport road from Memorial Parkway. Airport Road will turn into Carl T Jones. Continue on Carl T Jones to Cecil Ashburn Drive/Four Mile Post. Turn left on Cecil Ashburn Drive and proceed up the mountain. At the top, on the right hand side, you will find the trail head. That is where everyone will park and gather.
