HYP will be volunteering with ShowerUp Huntsville by helping our neighbors sign up for showers, passing our toiletry kits, and cleaning the showers between uses.

ShowerUp serves those experiencing homelessness by providing showers, hygiene resources and personal care with our mobile shower units. We hope to share love, build relationships, and restore hope.

Interested in learning about the brewing process at Straight to Ale? Join HYP on an adventure, hosted by Cory “Roadkill” Berry, to learn about the history of STA and how the magic happens. Founded by local home brewers in 2009, the company uses bold flavors and innovative brewing techniques, and strives to enrich the community, build long-lasting friendships, and of course, make great beer.

Please arrive between 5:30-6 pm to sign in and mingle. Tour will start at 6:05 pm. Although the cost for the tour/tasting is free, please tip our tour guide to thank him for the time outside of his normal responsibilities.

Attendees have the opportunity to gain insights into the speaker's experiences and the challenges they faced, fostering an open conversation around mental well-being. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, we’ll be engaging in various volunteering activities to help maintain and beautify the Mission’s facilities. Tasks may include pulling weeds, cleaning windows, raking leaves, picking up trash, and other essential maintenance duties. If it rains, more indoor tasks will be assigned.
