If sailing away and leaving your cares behind floats your boat, join Huntsville Young Professionals as we drift down Flint River in canoes and kayaks!
We will meet at North Alabama Canoe & Kayak - NACK, approximately 15 minutes outside of Huntsville, on Saturday, July 22nd at 8:45 AM.
This will be a 4.5+ hour trip down the free-flowing waterway with breaks for snacks and lunch. This will be an easy paddle, so do not worry about your experience level. Just plan on having a good time!
Cost
Price per person is the following (Cash Only!):
- $45/person (includes canoe/ kayak rental, paddle, personal flotation device, and transportation to and from the drop-off and pick-up points.)
OR
If you have your own gear, there is a $25 transportation fee for drop-off/ pick-up.
What to bring:
Lunch and other snacks
Cooler (or plan to share a cooler with others)
Beverage of choice (bring water!)
Dry-box or ziploc bags for non-waterproof items
Towel
Bathing suit
Sunglasses, hat, etc.
Sunscreen
Bug spray

Save time by printing your waiver and filling it out before you arrive.
Additional considerations:
If you carpool, stay with your carpool buddy during kayaking!
You may want a change of clothes if you plan to jump in the water.
